Family member 55 yr old female.monocytes 12.6, lymphocytes absolute 1.4,platelets 59, rbc 3.94, bilirubin 1.9, ast 48,inr 1.29, prothrombin time 14.5, b12 1363(takes b12 in multi).any insight whats going on? hematology follow up in 3 weeks. thanks?

Not B12 deficient. At current dose. Need normal values for your lab to be certain. Have family member discus with Dr who knows her. We do not.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there are a number of abnormalities, especially low platelet count. Do keep your hematology appointment. Wish you good health!
