A member asked:

B12 inj(500mcg) for a week, does it increase clotting time, bleeding time?does it affect prothrombin time & inr? what supplements needed on b12 therapy

A doctor has provided 1 answer

B12: B12 itself will not influence clotting or bleeding. However, as anemia corrects, blood clotting improves. Platelet count can raise as B12 improves marrow. Take folic acid, other B vitamins, and get potassium from food.
