A member asked:

Dr said i have a bacterial sinus infection. did a nasal swab to check the bacteria causing it. i just had an upper tooth abscess. waiting on the tooth to be pulled. could this be from the tooth? can this turn septic or cause a brain abscess?

If it's an upper molar tooth, there's only 2 layers of cells between the end of the molar roots and the interior of the sinus. If tooth is infected antibiotics may slow spread of infection but not cure it. See Dentist for evaluation, now.

It can be from the tooth. Chances of sepsis or a brain infection are infinitesimally small. Have the tooth extracted ASAP.
