A member asked:

What does it mean to have high blood values of von willebrand and factor viii, and fsap marburg i heterozygous? does it require treatment in female, 40? what is the treatment to reduce these values to normal range?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

These factors are involved in blood clotting, so high levels might indicate an increased risk for clotting in various situations. However they can be temporarily increased in infections , inflammation, trauma and stress. The high levels are not diagnostic by themselves but need a clinical evaluation to determine their significance and the need for treatment by special medications like desmopressin.
