The main symptoms of BV are vaginal odor, often described as "fishy" and often especially common after sex. A gray vaginal discharge often is present, usually without itching or irritation. If you think you have BV, you also need testing for common STIs, especially gonorrhea and chlamydia (which sometimes trigger BV). Your gyn can evaluate all this, as well as advise you about fertility issues.
