My husband is 84 has mci and depression.he was on 20 mg prozac and the doctor increased it to 40 mg which he has been on 4 weeks.his dementia seems to be worse since he started taking the higher dose. could it be side effects and will it go away?

Yes, he may be experiencing anticholinergic adverse effects from Prosac, which would not be my first choice at his age. Find a geriatrician or a neurologist and get a second opinion.
