A member asked:

Can dystonia be cured? how is it diagnosed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dystonia causes involuntary twisting motions of a muscle, a group of muscles or scattered muscles throughout the body. In cases caused by toxic substances the symptoms may resolve upon removal of the toxicity. Otherwise the condition, while treatable with certain medications, remains steady and isn't curable. A neurologist can advise you further.
