Is there no permanent cure for masseter dystonia?

Treatment options: There are several treatments available for dystonia. The most permanent of these is probably deep brain stimulation surgery. Other options are medications and botulinum toxin injections (such as botox). Discuss your options with a neurologist.

I don't know: But there are other methods of approaching treatment. The body has amazing recuperative abilities. Have you seen a homeopathic practitioner? Homeopathy may offer some help as can acupuncture and chinese medicine. I would also look for a neuromuscular massage therapist. There is one in my area (florida) who is pretty amazing with many different problems. Diet changes can help too.
