I'm 37, third pregnancy,12 weeks,never had hbp or blood problems, but doctor recommended to take baby aspirin,i read is not safe,should i take it or avoid it ? would it make a difference?.i really don't want to but doctor was very pushy. thank you?

This decision should be between you and your OB. Aspirin has been shown to protect against pre-eclampsia/eclampsia and you can go go to pubmed.gov and read all about them. Do you have a prior Hx of preeclampsia. Are you in a group more likely to get pre-clampsia and aspirin has been shown to decease the risk to the mother and baby? Does it run in your family? Discuss with DRs.
