I have some fordyce spots in my lip. i have seen there is some association with hereditary colorectal cancers. how strong is this association? if i have the spots, does it mean i am likely to also have this type of cancer? thanks?

Unless you have family members who have had colon cancer, I wouldn't obsess about your being predisposed to develop colon cancer. Just go for regular checkups including a screening colonoscopy at age 45 or if you have change in bowel habits, blood in BM's or positive occult blood test on feces during an annual rectal examination.
