Eliminate what? Not all reddish area in esophagus are Barrett's. Red areas in stomach would indicate inflammation. Treatment would depend on the cause of the abnormality.

Not all reddish areas in the esophagus are Barrett’s, reddish areas in the stomach denote inflammation and may be called generically gastritis. Aside from ruling out cancer a biopsy should help in better understanding the cause for the inflammation as treatment will be geared towards possible culprit as suggested by the test.
