Decades ago, regular milk was introduced as early as 6 months. As long as the kid has a diverse balanced nutrition, and the milk volume is less than 24oz/d they do well.

Nursing is actually best for the baby and is an important source of nutrition during the first one year and may be continued after 1 year. The infant formulas are designed to try to replicate breast milk ingredients. Whole fortified milk is not equivalent. Re your health, exercise,a healthy diet, avoid junk food and sugary beverages. A weight reduction program I may be helpful.
