Bat exposure 5 days ago on the top area of my scalp. within hours i had received rabies vaccine and hrig doses. however, the hrig was not delivered at possible wound site as on top of scalp. thigh dosing. is that effective for hrig since not at wound?

The preformed antibody can be injected any where in the body. It will enter the circulation and neutralize any rabies virus that enters the system. It is not needed to inject it at the site of bat bite. It can be injected at the site of the bite but scalp is not a good anatomical structure for injections.
