Sciatica: It sounds like inflammation of the sciatic nerve, which runs down your leg. Anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen, and a heating pad to the area should help, but if they are not, you should see your doctor. Steroids can help with it, but they can tell if it is a more serious problem.
