A member asked:

6 months ago i had blood work done that showed my monocyte count was 1,000 cells/ul (high for me) this past month another test showed my monocytes are still high at 1,044 cells/ul. my wbc count was in the 9000s both times. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your cell count is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
