How often can you take a methylprednisone dose pak for gout flare ups. i've been taking them off and on when ever i get a fare up which is about every 4 to 6 months, sometimes longer?

That amount of spacing shouldn't pose a problem from the medrol dospak. Are you taking allopurinol regularly to reduce uric acid level and prevent gout attacks?
