Missed periods result in an overgrowth of the uterine inner lining. At the point where hormonal meds are used to bring on the cycle an increase in volume and change in the character of flow are common. I would not consider the cited symptoms worrisome, but a message to your treating doc would be reasonable. They can help you review the process and decide if further follow-up is needed.
