Probably normal: The Implanon will cause irregular and unpredictable bleeding in about 60 to 80% of users. That is common and essentially normal.

I have the nexplanon in my arm for birth control so I rarely have periods. I just finished a period 7-14 days ago. I am not bleeding again and the blood is dark red almost brown and has large clots of tissue in it. The flow is otherwise low for me.
