Lymph node behind right ear has been swollen almost 3 years. not painful to touch, no redness, and has no grown in size since that time. part of it feels squishy, but part of it feels hard, the part that rests on jaw. should i be concerned for cancer?

No. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Would suggest a thorough dental exam as well as ear, nose and throat as your lymph node is likely to be reactive to inflammation in above mentioned areas. Other causes cannot be ruled out, they are only less likely.
