This is most likely normal. The Pap smear involves introducing a soft flexible brushlike tool into the opening of the cervix to collect cells for testing. Een with the most careful collection, the sensitive cervical tissue may bleed from abrasion. Additional localized trauma to the area (such as what happens with intercourse) can lead to repeat bleeding. Once the area heals, it will stop.
