I began spotting just before my pap smear and wore a tampon just before the test. just read no tampons 24-hrs before- how will this affect results?

Tampon before Pap: Unless you installed the tampon very far up the vagina, it will not cause any problem or change the results of your pap smear. The cells which may be of concern will not be removed by a tampon and not therefore create a false negative result.
