I have brown urine and when i drink water it becomes allmost transparent but it still has brown tint in it,means to say transparent urine with brown tint total bilubrin 1.2 direct 0.4 indirect 0.8 s albumin 5.3 s protein 6.80 what is causing that?

Is jaundice ( causes yellow discoloration of the whites of the eyes)present? Your direct bilirubin is borderline high( over 0.3). If your urine is indeed brown, causes of high direct bilirubin include types of gall bladder,liver & kidney problems, dehydration, porphyria conditions.
