Family history: Vitamin K is important in normal blood coagulation but too much could promote clot formation in blood vessels. You shouldn't need to take extra vitamin K. For heart health, don't smoke, maintain normal blood pressure and healthy serum lipid levels(cholesterol,HDL,LDL).
