I have had prostatitis (diagnosed)i was on cipro for 3 weeks prescribed by my primary then urologist put me on bactrim and its been 12 days and i felt no symptoms for4 days and then the symptoms came back worse do i need stronger meds or wait longer?

This is a complex situation. Your prostatitis may not be due to an infection; or it's an infection resistant to the antibiotics you have had so far. There's no way to know the next steps from a distant forum like this. Get back in touch with the urologist follow his or her advice. Good luck.

Stay on the duration of med prescribed by the Urologist. If not better or feel worse let your Urologist know. Hope u do well
