It's time to stop worrying about self-infection. After one gets HSV-1 (more than half of adults have it), she makes antibodies and is immune so does not infect herself in other places if she touches and moves her future outbreak viruses over her body. A normal person with HSV-1 does not worry about self-spread. One possible concern is passing HSV-1 to a new baby or an uninfected intimate partner.

Agree with Dr. Kwak. You will not seed other sites with HSV1 from your genital lesions. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health! Safe sex: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines
