It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely. Take over the counter multivitamin and sublingual B12. If that doe not help it would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a neurologist. Wish you good health!

Acupuncture does NOT cause neuropathy, but may assist symptom control. Although diabetes is most common cause, many other causes can be uncovered by an experienced neurologist, and would urge consultation, as neuropathy can be a presenting sign of numerous systemic conditions.

You may be right about your diagnosis, but who made it, you or your doctor? If you, you need to confirm the diagnosis. Not all toe numbness is neuropathy. There are hundreds of causes of "neuropathy," not just diabetes. In about 1/3 of cases, a thorough workup fails to find a cause. That's not because there isn't one; it's the limitations of the current state of the art of neurodiagnostics.
