Without focusing too much on her eating habits ,make eating enjoyable and let her participate in shopping and preparation of foods , limiting sodas and high sugar desserts. Add foods like nut butters, yoghurt , smoothies, eggs. Sometimes children prefer to eat small frequent meals . Make sure to have her checked by the pediatrician to rule out any other problems causing poor weight gain.

A review of her growth chart, including height , BMI is recommended. Additional calories per day, by adding healthy lean sources of protein, is often effective. It is important to rule out any underlying other cause associated with weight loss or poor weight gain.
