Tea does contain caffeine & can make baby jittery, hyper or fussy. That said, they can usually tolerate it at 5 weeks. Breastfeeding is a simple weight loss tool if you just eat a balanced nutrition but less total calories. Be aware your body will put the nutrients in the milk that baby needs. They can come from your diet and supplemental vitamins or will they be taken from your body.

Tea by itself will not reduce your weight. You will need to reduce your intake of food. Breast feeding will help in losing weight, but by itself is not likely to be sufficient depending on how much weight you are planning to lose. It would be prudent to consult a nutritionist. Wish you good health!
