A member asked:

My heart rate recently started dropping into the low 30's while sleeping (31-32). i'm a 40 year old runner in colorado. i train at very high altitude for high mountain races. i'm not an elite athlete though. is this dangerously low?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I would seek an evaluation with your doc, including an electrocardiogram and possibly a Holter monitor. With rates that low you may have a problem in your hearts rhythm generating system that deserves treatment.
