The definitive tests for enlarged nodes is removal and testing in the lab. Random blood tests would not be helpful in most. Nodes enlarge if stimulated and remain so for weeks after the stimulation is removed. A return to resting size would take more than a month. Neck nodes are easily found and monitored since they are not buried deep in tissues. Simple monitoring by the doc is standard care.

Blood tests can detect leukemia but may not detect lymphoma. You can watch and wait - You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
