I answered your question before, you should be safe and cardioversion is a life saving procedure in most cases.

Dr Le has previously appropriately answered, and would suggest heeding his advice. I have never seen heart damage from a cardio version procedure, and am perplexed where you may have obtained such information. Like Dr Le, suspect the "panic attack", was a reaction to a cardiac arrhythmia.
