Hi, i am wondering how a whiplash or other neck injury in a 16 months old girl would show? except from crying and being moody. she was pushed on the swing and her head fell back, which looked awful. how common are further complications if untreated?

If the kid is walking around with her usual confidence, playing some, feeding and sleeping normally I would consider this a sign that things are okay. If she seems wobbly, refuses to walk, I would take her in. Her pattern of daily activities is a good neurologic exam. If she's doing her normal pattern this likely did not damage her.
