A member asked:

Hi my 6 & half month old baby girl woke up this morning with her head, hands and neck area feeling unusually hot? i have checked a temperature it is 36.7 degrees , is it normal for her head to be hot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common: The relative head size/surface area in infants compared to older kids/adults is large. It is the main surface where they dissipate any heat in excess of their needs since clothed areas do not. Since the temperature you found is normal I would consider this normal. Just monitor her as you do always for any other sign of a problem emerging.
