Is ibuprofen a good anti inflammatory for pericoronitis? and what's a safe effective dosage?

600mg or 800mg if severe pain, three or four times a day, or every 6 -8 hours. Have an oral surgeon extract tooth if it doesn't erupt, or cut off tissue over tooth so it can erupt naturally.

Best Rx for pericoronitis is to remove the inflamed tissue, Ron it will probably recur periodically. See General Dentist, Oral Surgeon, or Periodontist. If due to a partially impacted tooth, tooth removal may be required. If tissue inflamed, it is probably infected and may require antibiotics. Antiinflammatory may reduce swelling, but will not cure problem. Follow dosing recommendations on bottle
