Safe to combine but: It is safe to combine but often it is unneccsary.You can take 400to600mgm of ibuprophen every six hours if you do not have allergy to it or Aspirin and no history of stomach ulcer.You can start with 400 mgm and if does not help increase to 600 mgm.If that does not give you relief for short time you can add acetamino 650 mgm to 1000 mgm every 4 o 6 hours need prescription pain meds if pain too bad.

Safe and effective.: Would be ok to take together. For someone with normal kidney and liver function 600 mg Ibuprofen and 650 mg Acetaminophen together may work better than with alone.
