A member asked:

I had subchorionic hematoma at 8 weeks pregnant that resolved on its own with no bleeding by 20 weeks. does my chance of having this increase with future pregnancies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. These are relatively common and random and, as in your case, resolve without incident. As ultrasound studies have improved over the years, we have detected small hematomas more frequently and we were probably just not seeing them in the past.
