See below: Tina, subchorionic hematomas are a very common cause of first trimester bleeding. Unless very large, they are not usually threatening to the pregnancy, but you may continue to bleed some until it is gone. If you have severe pain or a significant increase in the amount of bleeding, see your OB. Hope this helps!
