A member asked:

Could being 3 hours late taking the pill within the first packet increase pregnancy chances? could a breakthrough bleed occur when period does?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Slightly: If you take your pill 3 hours late, you are still protected from pregnancy. In general its best to take your pill at about the same time every day. The chance of pregnancy if you never forget a pill and always take it at the same time is a few percentage points lower than if you forget every so often or don't always take it at the same time. Best wishes!
