There is no wrong place other than remaining in the nose. If so, over time an infection and a fetid spell arises around the object. The back of the nose is hooked to the swallow tube. There is nowhere else to go if it moved backward from the inside of the nose.

Most likely the peanut will enter the GI tract. If there is any choking, coughing or distress, please see the Acute care center for children right away. Peanut exposure may result in local irritation and rinsing the nasal passages with saline is often effective.
