A month ago a tt scan showed an enlarged thoracic aorta (root) 4.7cm. i havent had a follow up yet. im suffering from breathlessness, but the er only looks at my ecg and uses a stethoscope. is this really enough to rule out anything dangerous?

Was it a CT scan or an ultrasound. You r young to be having. Most define more than 5 cm as large I would be certain ur team has looked data on aortic size for women like you who were born and raised in Finland. CT is much more accurate. Not certain what a TT means for a scan in Finland? Trans Thoracic?? If it is enlarged then you and your team need to figure our why. Marfan's?
