I've recently been around people who were diagnosed the covid. i woke up this morning with a runny nose, severely plugged ear, cough, scratchy throat and some dizziness. allergies or covid?

You should consider it Covid unless testing rules it out. You should isolate yourself for 10 days from the start of symptoms, if testing confirms it to be covid. If you develop breathing difficultly, go to a hospital. Wish you good health!

Would obtain a test for COVID-19, but might be a false negative if done too early. You could discuss with your doctor after an exam as to whether your symptoms represent allergies, influenza A, or respiratory syncytial virus, as alternative causes.
