A member asked:

If i can't tolerate multaq can i stop it and try another. i have already tried flicaidine made my ankles swell?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I assume you're taking multaq for the prevention or treatment of a fib or other supraventricular tachyarrythmias. Are you currently in persistent a fib with a rapid ventricular response? If so, have you been on continuous anticoagulation? Electric cardioversion can get you back in sinus rhythm. Ablation is another possible treatment for persistent a fib. Digoxin used appropriately controls rate.
