A member asked:

For a 75 years old lady crp is mildly elevated (10.3 mg/l) but esr is within range (22 mm/1st hr). what does this mean? is it a cause of concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, an isolated finding of mildly elevated CRP is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
