A member asked:

I have low back pain radiating to right leg for 3 years(im 24). all mri, xrays, blood tests came back normal. had pt, painkillers, piriformis injection with no result. pain is worse after activity. is there a big chance a nerve is damaged permanently?

Very unlikely especially with you having all the tests showing negative. You may have a test involving the nerves in your leg. Good Luck

Agree with Dr Fields. If there is a lingering question of nerve inflammation or damage, it is quite appropriate to test the nerves in both legs. The definitive test is an EMG/ NCV study, which can objectify your issues.
