Delays in ovulation (not releasing a mature egg, 14 days prior to the next period) can create delays in menstruation, and can be associated with stress (work, school, emotional ). Of course, if you are sexually active, pregnancy can cause interruption of an expected menstrual event. See your GYN physician for an exam and testing if this continues.
