In my last ultrasound i was told that my egg count was of 4. does that mean that i only have 4 eggs till i menopause?

Eggs on US.: No, no. That ultrasound reflects how many eggs are in the works for your current cycle. This does not reflect the total number of eggs you will ever have.

No: The fertility specialists use an ultrasound view of the ovaries to count the number of "antral follicles" seen. The number is called the "egg count", and sort of estimates how her total eggs situation is in her ovaries. If a woman has an average or normal egg count, then there is a better chance of her responding to fertility treatments. If a low egg count, the treatments may not work well.
