A member asked:

Dear doctor my routine urine culture test is negative for bacteria, is that mean no clamydia or gonorhea in my body ? should i take more spesific test for it ?

Yes. Urine culture is not an optimum test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. You should get nucleic acid test for these microorganism. A condom may not protect against HPV, Herpes, LGV, syphilis, pubic lice etc. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation. Yes, specific tests are needed for STD ( sexually transmitted diseases)'s, as a urine culture will not rule them out. Talk to your doc about getting tested for STD's, specifically if having symptoms ( rash, ulcers, discharge, etc).
