Long and persisting sinus or upper respiratory infections can be caused by any infectious agent:- bacteria, virus, yeast/fungus... It is best to see PCP who can examine, take samples and do lab and imaging if indicated to get proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment. The sooner, the better.
