I wouldn't expect it to cure the infection but you can apply it as you wish. Over the counter anti-fungals like Tinactin or clotrimazole would treat/cure it.

Would recommend seeing your treating doc in followup. There are many mimickers, a variety of eczema types that will get worse from the effect of rubbing alcohol on them.
