No!: Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection. We see it commonly in florida, where people may share beach towels. Although many fungal creams can be applied, an effective and economical alternative is dandruff shampoo (e.g. Head and shoulders). Skin conditions can have many presentations, so be sure you have the correct diagnosis.
